Angie is a 2-year-old cat with a traumatic history that has left scars on her personality. She was terrified when someone tried to caress her, and she even snarled and bolted into a dark corner, but the affection of one of her rescuers has restored her faith in humanity.
Fiona Loh, a Singaporean cat rescuer, said:
“Any person who attempted to approach her would be attacked. She also urinated when she was afraid of being touched. She was a nervous wreck.”
Last year, Angie was discovered ill and malnourished in the mud in a Singapore condominium with 93 other cats.
Fiona stated,
“Angie was underweight and quite bashful. During the rescue effort, it took a lengthy time to secure her aboard an aircraft carrier.”
The person in charge of the cats wanted to sell them, but owing to their health concerns, it was hard for anybody to buy them. Many of them, like Angie, were also afraid since they had little human interaction.
The rescue team was able to offer all of the cats a second shot at life, but Angie is the only one who has not found a home in the last year due to her fearfulness and aggression.
Gata was terrified and refused to be touched.
Fiona took Angie home to make her feel more at ease.
Fiona stated,
“I discovered that Angie is neither scared or bashful after seeing her on a regular basis. I learned that Angie examined the room she was in and only played with toys using a video camera. But as soon as a person entered the room, she returned to her cage ».
Fiona decided not to lose up on Angie after seeing this.
Fiona stated,
“I believed that Angie would ultimately trust humans; all it took was time and patience.” Angie had been unable to find an adoptive home because she was considered too ‘crazy’. She wasn’t quite ready for adoption.”
Fiona wanted to try again after a year of not being able to touch her, but Angie refused.
Fiona stated,
“It was fantastic. My heart simply exploded with excitement.”
Angie began to love Fiona’s caresses and attention after what had transpired.
Fiona stated,
“Angie is a sweet young lady.”
Fiona continued:
“If she wants me to sit with her, meow now.” When I touch her, especially her face, she still flinches a little, but she recovers fast and doesn’t run away.”
