Kristyn Gamblain observed a little black mass on one of the highway barriers on her way to work while driving down the highway, but she lost sight of it within seconds. The woman couldn’t ignore what she saw, and she suspected it was a trapped cat, so she pulled over to check.
She decided to circle the road to double-check what she had observed, and because she couldn’t recall the exact location, she slowed down, much to the chagrin of the other vehicles. She decided to pull over as soon as she saw the black figure.
While attempting to properly remove the little feline. When Officer Bennet, a highway patrolwoman, saw what was going on, she pulled over to assist. Soon after, other police cars pulled over to help manage traffic and aid in the kitten’s rescue.
Kristyn was grateful for the assistance she received in freeing the trapped kitten, who turned out to be a female and had been there for a long time.
After a few tries, they were able to carefully pull it out, to the delight of everyone there. They were able to save the kitty thanks to Kristyn’s senses and everyone’s assistance.
Kristyn explains:
“After being freed, she let out a little meow and burrowed into my arms as I took her up. She was surprised yet pleased to have been saved.
One of the cops present asked Kristyn if she planned to keep the kitten when the shock of the rescue had worn off, and she responded yes without hesitation. She had just acquired another kitty the week before, but that didn’t stop her from making room for this tiny one.
The woman described what happened in a Facebook post. She stated, ”
“Even though I had only rescued Ginni a week earlier, a cheerful officer called Galbraith approaches to me and asks if I want to keep it. After all, I had just spent 45 minutes rescuing her!”
