Staff at a neighborhood company in Corpus Christi, Texas, observed an orange kitten wandering about by itself with no trace of its mother around. When a rescuer arrived on the scene, the stray kitten was afraid and confused, but he clung to his savior with resolve as he bid farewell to life on the streets.

The rescuer is a member of Coastal Bend Cat Rescue, which got the call about the cat and transported him to a secure location. He was coated with fleas and grime and needed a wash and some affection.

He was first terrified and hesitant, but as time passed, he began to relax in the rescuer’s arms.

Lindsay explains:

“We named him Skywalker because they discovered him at the Del Cielo Home Healthcare office, which means ‘heaven sent’ or ‘from heaven.’”

The rescuers assume it got there by becoming caught in a hollow tire or the engine of a car, as cats frequently seek shelter there during the winter months.

Lindsay explains:

“We usually advise individuals to scream their horn or beat on the hood of their car before starting it, just in case a cat is lurking there,” says the organization.

Skywalker was terrified of humans when he first came at his foster home and would hide, avoiding eye contact with his caregivers. His new adoptive family was patient with him and provided him with the space, food, and care he need.

Skywalker soon began to show his charming side as he realized he was secure in his new home.

Soon after, the orange kitten’s health improved owing to the attention he received in his foster home; he overcame his fear of people and approached his humans when they sat on the sofa; he developed into a spoiled and affectionate cat.

Lindsay continued, ”

“She relocated to another foster home after finishing her treatment and receiving her first vaccine, where she was able to have some playfulness with the other cats.” “Her favorite hobby was chasing the local cats around the Christmas tree,” says the author.
