With just 54,941 miles on the clock, this original 300SL has only undergone one original Blue Gray repaint (blaugrau, code 166) and its engine has been reworked by LYCO Engineering. The interior and convertible have also been expertly re-upholstered by Master Upholstery, making this 300SL one of the best driving examples on the market.

This 300SL Roadster has an interesting history, having been delivered to Gary Rappaport of Minneapolis, Minnesota, before passing through a number of owners, including the late Merl Wogoman, also known as “Mr. 190SL” in the Mercedes-Benz Club Circle. After being professionally restored by LYCO Engineering and Master Upholstery, the car was later sold to the late Emil McConnell, a renowned gun collector. Since then, the car has been cared for by Fox Motorsports, where it is serviced to the highest standards, having run only 2,000 miles since 1986.

The condition of this 300SL is exceptional, with paint and bodywork showing only minor paint stains and little to no rust, thanks to the car’s excellent care and regular detailing. The engine bay, underbody and trunk are all original and in excellent condition, while the interior shows a level of use that matches the condition of the rest of the vehicle.
