 Here we have a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport for sale. This car has had a stunning frame off rotisserie restoration done and features a gorgeous color combination and tons of upgrades. When you walk around it you will notice they did an exceptional job of fitting all the panels when they did the restoration.









All of your body lines flow beautiful and your gaps are even and symmetrical. When you look down the side the body is laser straight. It’s covered in the Tuxedo Black paint that was done in base coat clear coat. The paint has been buffed and polished to a stunning shine that looks a foot deep.







Every piece of Chrome and Stainless on this ’66 is like new with a brilliant shine. Now we will take a look at the interior of this Super Sport. On the inside it blends the modern comforts with the iconic styling of a ’60’s muscle car beautifully. It’s has a custom Interior job that’s done in red which provides one of the most eye-catching color combinations that you will ever see.



This Chevelle has Custom Leather Bucket Seats and has the stock style console that houses Five Speed Shifter for the Tremec Trans. It also has custom door panels done that give you a classy feel that flows perfectly with the rest of the interior. Looking at the dash it ha been upgraded with Dakota Digital Gauges and it also has the Tilt Wheel.







This Super Sport has also been upgraded with Vintage Air AC and Heat which is controlled form the factory location and it comes with the upgraded digital knobbed radio. To finish off the interior it has had new carpet and a new headliner installed, it also has a custom surround done in the trunk to pull the entire interior kit together perfectly.







Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood it has gorgeous detail with the inner fenders and firewall being painted in the Tuxedo Black paint that’s slick as a ribbon. It also has had the hinges upgraded to Billet. The power comes from a Jerry Windale built 66 Model 396 360 HP EN Coded engine that is everything you could hope for and more on the highway.



The performance of this Big Block is astounding and with it being mated to the Tremec Five Sped and the Moser 12 Bolt Posi Rear end with around a 3.42 Gear it’s perfect for hitting the highway and cruising. The 396 is also been set up with a polished aluminum front runner kit that along with have the Upgraded AC Compressor it also has Power Steering.

This Super Sport has also been upgraded with Four Wheel Wilwood Power Disc Brakes with all new lines. For exhaust it has Sanderson headers with 3” Dual Stainless Pipes that have the Electric Cut Outs and Pypes Race Pro Mufflers. To keep it cool it has the Be Cool Aluminum Radiator with an electric fan. When you look under this Chevelle is when you’re going to fall in love.

It’s had a meticulous Frame off Rotisserie restoration with a 1 Piece floor being installed and painted slick Tuxedo Black. The frame was cleaned and powder coated along with the crossmember. It’s had a new gas tank installed along with all new fuel lines. Under the front Every Bushing and Ball Joint was replaced. It also comes with front and rear sway bars and has boxed rear control arms.

1964 Chevrolet Impala: Discovering Hidden Gems Beyond the Hood

 While Chevrolet was already preparing for the unveiling of a completely new generation in 1965, the 1964 Impala was still a notable debut in the American automotive industry.








The focus, however, was mostly on cosmetic upgrades, as it didn’t make any sense to invest in mechanical changes given a new generation was just around the corner.

For example, the taillights now came with a body-colored panel for a more distinct look, so Chevrolet tried to stick with rather subtle tweaks as it prepared the series for a massive overhaul.








The SS continued to be the star of the Impala show, and while it may sound weird, it could be ordered with pretty much any engine in the lineup. Including six-cylinder units, that is, though an Impala SS with the Turbo-Thrift 230 (3.7-liter) wasn’t necessarily very common.

The base V8 was the 283 (4.7-liter) Turbo-Fire, while the available options were the 327 (5.3-liter) and the much more powerful 409 (6.7-liter) peaking at 425 horsepower thanks to dual Carter AFBs.







The Impala that you see in these photos no longer has the original unit under the hood, so if you check out the engine bay, the only things you’ll find are some rust and a lot of fresh air. The images shared on eBay by seller johquin-0 pretty much speak for themselves, and they clearly highlight the current condition of the Impala.







A full restoration is the only way to go, and while some important parts are missing, others are still there, including the front and back bumpers, the original hubcaps, and so on. That’s why an in-person inspection is more than recommended, especially if you are committed to buying this car.








As for the engine, while the original engine is missing, the seller is providing the buyer with a 350 (5.7-liter) V8 unit that comes separately. No further information has been offered on this powerplant, so it’s probably better to assume it needs repairs as well.

Ford's 50 Millionth Car: The Timeless Elegance of a 63-Year-Old Galaxie

 Established in 1903, Ford is not only one of the oldest automakers out there, but it's also one of the most successful car companies. To the extent that it has already built and sold more than 400 million vehicles as of December 2022.













Ford was one of the first automobile ventures to sell millions of cars and it was all thanks to the highly popular Model T. Launched in 1908, "Tin Lizzie" moved more than 15 million units until its discontinuation in 1927. But I'm here to talk about Ford's first major benchmark: its 50 millionth production vehicle.

FoMoCo needed more than 50 years to hit this benchmark. It happened on April 29, 1959, at the Rouge Dearborn plant, which rolled out a special Galaxie four-door sedan that day.






Built with parts from other manufacturing and assembly plants, as well as outside suppliers, so that everyone could participate in its construction, the Galaxie came into the spotlight wearing large "50 MILLIONTH" graphics in gold and black on each side.



Finished in Colonial White with a "diamond luster" finish, the Galaxie got the Luxury Lounge interior, which included "sofa soft" seats, Mylar accents, and Rayon carpeting. Its upholstery was also multi-colored, sporting gold, silver, tan, and black materials.

Powered by the standard 292-cubic-inch (4.8-liter) Thunderbird V8 rated at 200 horsepower, the unique sedan got a lot of publicity back in the day.







First showcased at Ford's Rotunda in Dearborn for almost a month, the Galaxie was then exhibited at the annual stockholders meeting at the Ford Auditorium. It was also part of the caravan that retraced the route of the renowned 1909 Ocean-to-Ocean Automobile Endurance Contest for the Guggenheim Trophy.

But what's really impressive is that the 1959 Galaxie is still around in pristine condition, even though Ford didn't hang on to it after the marketing campaign came to an end. The sedan changed owners a few times but it eventually found its way into the collection of Rick Schmidt of National Parts Depot.








Now on display in the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, as documented by YouTube's "Young Exotics," the Galaxie looks like it just left the factory. And it's still a low-mileage classic.


When not displayed in museums, the special Galaxie shares storage space with other milestone Ford cars. That's because Rick and Jim Schmidt also own the 100-, 150-, and 300-millionth Fords.

The Resilient Beauty of a Hurricane Survivor: Restoring the 1963 Pontiac LeMans' Untamed Spirit

 Introduced in 1961 as a top-of-the-line package for the Tempest, the Pontiac LeMans became a stand-alone model in 1963. When the Tempest line became a mid-size, so did the LeMans, sharing styling features and powertrains with the more iconic GTO.








The LeMans remained in production in the U.S. until 1981 (in Canada until 1983) and outlived the GTO by seven years, but it never became as famous as its higher-performance sibling. And that's a shame because the LeMans is just as cool with the right options.

Come 2022 and the LeMans is a nice and affordable classic to own, especially if you're into the early, lightweight pony cars instead of heavy muscle cars with big-block V8 power. The dark blue example you see here is one of those cars, but it needs a lot of TLC because it's a Hurricane Ian survivor.








The deadliest hurricane to strike the state of Florida since 1935, hurricane Ian caused more than 150 fatalities and $60+ billion in damage. The latter figure includes a long list of classic cars that were flooded or wrecked beyond recognition. We could say that this 1963 LeMans was a bit luckier than others but it won't shine again without a proper refresh.

A once-gorgeous example that roamed the streets of Orlando, Florida, the Poncho shows extensive damage to the bodywork and inside the cabin.






There are several dents in the body and scratches in the paint, while the driver's door is a replacement unit in poor condition (the original one was detached and lost during the storm). Sadly enough, the hurricane also removed the convertible top and the windshield.







The interior appears to be in great shape overall but the rear seats are missing. The owner also power-washed everything inside to remove dirt and debris from the storm, so the upholstery and the carpet may require additional attention. But even so, the cabin looks amazing considering what it's been through.


As you might have already guessed, the car no longer runs but the seller made sure the V8 doesn't get stuck. He removed the debris, drained the water, changed the oil, and sprayed oil on all cylinders. The mill now turns by hand and comes with a rebuilt starter and clean carburetor.







Speaking of which, this LeMans left the factory with a two-barrel 326-cubic-inch (5.3-liter) V8 but the mill was later converted to range-topping HO spec with the addition of a Carter AFB four-barrel carb. It also got a factory manifold and a period-correct dual exhaust system.


The unit was originally rated at 260 horsepower and 352 pound-feet (477 Nm) of torque. Not bad for the pre-GTO era.







All told, this LeMans is definitely worth saving since it comes with the range-topping V8 and a cool blue-over-white color combo. But is anyone willing to pour enough cash into this drop-top until it becomes a pristine classic?

If so, the Poncho is offered by eBay seller "ramon_ojeda" for $9,750 or the best offer. For reference, the average price of a 1963 LeMans in excellent condition is around $20,000, while concours-ready examples can fetch more than $30,000.

In 1953 the U.S. auto industry was in full swing and at the beginning of two boom decades.  It manifested its vibrancy and vigor by bringing dream cars to market, including the Eldorado, Skylark, Fiesta and Corvette of GM’s Motorama and Packard’s Caribbean Custom Convertible.

There were just 750 of these distinctive Caribbean convertibles built on the Cavalier convertible chassis by Mitchell-Bentley Corp. in Ionia, Michigan. The design featured an enclosed rear-mounted spare tire, radiused wheel arches, a full-width hood scoop, chrome wire wheels, unique rear fenders, horizontal tail lights and full leather interior upholstery.

This is a fabulous restoration that has been well maintained and recently treated to a thorough detailing. It is painted black and has attractive black and white leather upholstery and a black cloth top.
